Avondale, LA (August 18, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in Avondale on Tuesday, August 17, ended in a fatality.

The deadly accident occurred near the crossing of US-90 and W. Tish Drive near the time of 4:45 a.m. Local reports revealed that 35-year-old Christopher Molina of Westwego was traveling westbound on the highway on a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle at the time of the crash. It was then that a 2006 Mack tractor-trailer exited a private lot and crossed US-90.

Molina crashed into the rear of the truck, causing him to be ejected from the bike. He was wearing a helmet but was taken to a nearby hospital for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. Charges are currently pending.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being examined by local authorities.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Christopher Molina at this time.
