Baton Rouge, LA (June 17, 2021) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident that ended in injuries. At around 5:41 a.m., on June 17, the Baton Rouge Police Department and firefighters were requested at the scene of an accident on Plank Road.

Reports from local authorities show that a collision between vehicles blocked Plank Road at the intersection of Lorraine Street. The incident caused some disruptions throughout the area as crews worked to clear the scene and allow thru-traffic.

Emergency medical services rendered aid to victims on-site before transporting those in need of further treatment to nearby hospitals. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
