Baton Rouge, LA (May 9, 2021) – An auto accident reported in West Baton Rouge on Friday afternoon claimed one man’s life. At around 3 p.m., on May 7, emergency crews were called to provide assistance at the scene of a crash on Interstate 10.
According to reports, 58-year-old Claude Brewer was traveling east on Interstate 10 in a 2017 Ford Transit van when her vehicle was involved in a crash with a 2018 Nuco commercial vehicle just west of Louisiana Highway 415.
The incident triggered a chain-reaction crash involving a 2018 Dodge van and a 2017 Dodge Ram.
Brewer was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
