Baton Rouge, LA – Crash on Plank Rd near Lower Zachary Rd Ends in Injuries
Baton Rouge, LA (July 19, 2021) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area that ended in injuries. At around 3:37 p.m., on July 19, the Baton Rouge Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services responded to the scene of a crash on Plank Road.
Reports from authorities show that a motor vehicle accident took place on Plank Road near the intersection of Lower Zachary Road during the afternoon hours.
The incident prompted the police and firefighters to close off the roadway for an extended time as they worked to clear debris and vehicles from the scene.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital where they underwent medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash. At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
