Baton Rouge, LA – Cyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Oak Villa Blvd near Crossway Ave
Baton Rouge, LA (May 27, 2021) – An accident reported on Thursday morning in the Baton Rouge area claimed one person’s life early Thursday morning. On May 27, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Oak Villa Boulevard.
Reports from the Baton Rouge Police Department show that at 7:55 a.m., a bicyclist was traveling in the area of Oak Villa Boulevard and Crossway Avenue. For unknown reasons, the cyclist was struck by a vehicle.
The rider suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. No other injuries were reported.
At this time, investigations are underway with the Baton Rouge Police Department.
