Baton Rouge, LA (June 15, 2021) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area that sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries.
Just after 7 p.m., on June 15, the Baton Rouge Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services were requested at the scene of an accident on East Interstate 12 Highway.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked the 400 block of East Interstate 12 Highway near South Sherwood forest Boulevard during the evening hours.
The incident caused some disruptions in the area as crews worked to clear the roadway and restore the flow of traffic. Medics responded to the scene and rendered aid to injured parties before transporting those in need of further care to nearby hospitals. At this time, the police in Baton Rouge are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
