Being involved in a motor vehicle accident is not something that we can prepare for. No one knows what to expect from a collision. Although we often hear that accidents involving motor vehicles end in injuries, we cannot imagine how overwhelming they can be unless we are personally harmed. Regrettably, more than 40,000 people across our state are forced to endure the sudden and unexpected consequences of collisions each year. In many cases, victims sustain broken bones, spinal cord injuries, and even traumatic brain injuries that require both immediate medical treatment and long-term care. The pain and suffering from these accidents often add to the financial burdens that both victims and their families are forced to endure.
