Baton Rouge, LA (September 10, 2021) –  Emergency crews were requested to assist at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area on Friday that ended in injuries.

Just after 3 p.m., on September 10, the Baton Rouge Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of a crash on Greenwell Springs Road. Reports show that a collision between an undisclosed number of vehicles caused moderate traffic delays on Greenwell Springs Road in the area between Ednie lane and Hooper Road.

Emergency medical services responded to provide treatment to injured parties. At least one person was transported from the scene of the accident to an area hospital for further care.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
