Intersection Accidents in Baton Rouge
Even in the absence of design defects, such as obscured roadway signs, or road hazards like potholes, intersections present a lot of unique risks for drivers all across the country. Where intersections are concerned, there are usually multiple drivers, bicyclists, and even pedestrians in the same small area, all moving at different speeds and going in different directions. Some intersections have as many as six lanes merging all the way down to two. Intersection accidents, even those that occur at slower speeds, have the capacity to cause critical and possibly life-threatening injuries.
When families are forced to undergo the emotional distress of losing a loved one, their trauma is usually compounded by the financial hardships created by things like burial costs, funeral expenses, and lost wages and benefits. Even though you can be proactive in ensuring the safety of others by obeying the rules of the road and abiding by your duty of care, there are no assurances that those other drivers will show you or anyone else the same consideration, causing thousands of car accidents that will result in several thousand victims who are either injured or dead.
When people are gravely injured in any kind of accident that stemmed from the reckless, negligent, or malicious act of another, their immediate family members may be entitled to file a claim of wrongful death with a Louisiana wrongful death attorney right away.
