Baton Rouge, LA (April 23, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area. On April 17, emergency crews were notified that a pedestrian accident occurred on the Scenic Highway.

At around 10:30 p.m., crews responded to the 8000 block of Scenic Highway where they located a severely injured pedestrian near Harding Boulevard. The victim, 18-year-old Q’Ryon Williams was walking back to his dorm at Southern University when he was struck by a vehicle.

Williams was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. However, authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries on April 20 while in the hospital. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
