Baton Rouge, LA – Two Seriously Injured in Collision on Jefferson Hwy
Baton Rouge, LA (August 21, 2021) – A major accident on Jefferson Highway in the area of Hoo Shoo Too Road took place on the evening of Saturday, August 21st leaving two victims in serious condition.
Louisiana State Police, Emergency Medical Services, and St. George Fire all responded to the scene at about 5:45 p.m. in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Troopers said the crash was a head-on collision that resulted in injuries and entrapment.
One eyewitness statement stated that it appeared as though one vehicle crossed the centerline, causing it to collide with another.
Fire officials confirmed that as of 6:30 p.m., one of the injured drivers had been extricated from their damaged vehicle and was awaiting the arrival of a medical helicopter.
This accident is under investigation.
