Baton Rouge, LA – Barry Pace Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Florida Blvd
Baton Rouge, LA (August 19, 2021) – A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian on Florida Boulevard on the morning of Wednesday, August 18th.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the accident took place at about 3:00 a.m. in the 6900 block of Florida Boulevard when an eastbound car ran over an adult male pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway.
Rather than stopping to notify authorities and render aid, the driver fled the scene.
The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 35-year-old Barry Pace, a resident of Baton Rouge, died at the scene.
An anonymous eyewitness aided investigators in determining that the suspect’s vehicle is a Kia Forte.
