Bossier Parish, LA – Teen Killed in Boat Accident on Lake Bistineau near Highway 154
Bossier Parish, LA (June 3, 2021) – At approximately 2 p.m., on June 1, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a boating incident on the Lake Bistineau Spillway.
Reports from authorities show that two teenaged boys were involved in a boating accident while fishing out near the dam at the Lake Bistineau bridge, which is located on Highway 154.
The two teens were ejected into the water as a result of the crash. One teen was able to swim to safety and call for assistance. Over 100 family members and friends responded to the scene to search for the missing teen.
At approximately 8 a.m., on June 2, the missing teen’s body was recovered from the water. They were pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
