Elton, LA – Brandon Ortego Killed in Train Crash on Bornsdall Rd near US-190
Elton, LA (May 7, 2021) – An auto accident in the Elton area claimed one man’s life. At around 9:30 p.m., on May 6, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on B0rnsdall Road.
According to reports, 42-year-old Brandon Ortego was traveling on B0rnsdall Road in a 2006 Jeep Rubicon when his vehicle was struck by a Union Pacific train near US Highway 190.
Ortego was ejected from his vehicle due to the force of the impact. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
