LaSalle Parish, LA – 11-Year-Old Killed in Car Accident on LA-773
LaSalle Parish, LA (September 14, 2021) – On Monday, September 13th, at about 9:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police responded to reports of a fatal crash on LA-773.
The accident resulted in the death of an 11-year-old juvenile passenger from Trout.
An investigation showed that a 2014 Chevrolet Caprice, driven by a 17-year-old, was heading northbound on LA-773. For reasons that have yet to be determined, the car left the paved portion of the roadway and crashed into several trees.
The 11-year-old juvenile, who was properly restrained, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The 17-year-old driver, who was also properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Another passenger, a 15-year-old, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
A toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis.
This accident is under investigation.
