Roanoke, LA – Lorrie Lynette Herron Killed in Motorcycle Crash on US-90
Roanoke, LA (June 25, 2021) – A motorcycle accident on US-90 between Jennings and Roanoke resulted in the death of a passenger and caused injuries to the driver on Friday, June 25th.
According to officials, 56-year-old Lorrie Lynette Herron, a resident of Jennings and a passenger on the bike, sustained fatal injuries during the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator, 60-year-old Ronald Keith Bonnette, a resident of Roanoke, sustained non-critical injuries and was taken by ambulance to a Lake Charles hospital for medical treatment. Reports show that Bonnette was driving eastbound on US-90 and, for reasons that have yet to be determined, left the roadway in the area of Farm Supply Road. The motorcycle landed in a ditch, ejecting both Herron and Bonnette. We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Lorrie Lynette Herron, at this time.
