Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Bossier City
Almost daily, pedestrians in Louisiana are struck by vehicles and seriously injured while they are taking a walk, crossing the road, jogging, and just walking or waiting by the roadside. Pedestrians face a considerably elevated threat when it comes to being injured than the occupant of a vehicle.
When pedestrians are fatally injured in car accidents because of the reckless or negligent actions of another driver, their immediate family members should contact a wrongful death attorney in Bossier City as quickly as possible.
About 70% of pedestrian fatalities happen at night. Even though drivers are supposed to be aware of their surroundings, this is seldom the case. This means pedestrians need to remain vigilant while walking near a roadway. Standard precautions, such as wearing reflective clothing, staying alert, not walking too close to the street, and walking against the flow of traffic can help you avoid being hit by a distracted or speeding motorist.
