Butte La Rose, LA – Injuries Reported in Boat Crash at Little Atchafalaya River

Butte La Rosa, LA (May 3, 2021) – A boat accident reported in the Button La Rose area ended in injuries, according to reports. Just after 2 p.m., on April 29, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) responded to the scene of a crash on the Little Atchafalaya River.

According to reports, a collision between two recreational boats occurred just two miles south of Butte La Rose. One boat had two occupants at the time of the crash. The second boat was occupied by one person.

The sole occupant of the second boat was severely injured. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the first boat went into the water and has not been located. The second occupant was ejected but was able to swim to shore unharmed. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
