Caddo Parish, LA – Seven Hospitalized Following Crash in I-20 in Shreveport
Caddo Parish, LA (July 20, 2021) – Early on the morning of Sunday, July 18th, a hit-and-run driver left seven injured people on Interstate 20 in Shreveport.
According to an eyewitness, a sport utility vehicle and a smaller vehicle were both traveling westbound when the smaller car struck the SUV from behind. The force of the impact caused the SUV to overturn multiple times before coming to a complete stop.
Officers reported that the driver and six passengers in the SUV were all transported to Ochsner Louisiana State University Health with injuries believed to be non-critical.
Officers are still attempting to locate the smaller vehicle that collided with the SUV and then fled the scene.
The identities and post-crash medical conditions of the injured victims have not been released at this time.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Louisiana State Police.
