Calcasieu Parish, LA – Clyde J. Jeanisse Killed in Car Crash on LA-397 near MM 15.3
Calcasieu Parish, LA (June 21, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday evening in the Calcasieu Parish area, according to local law enforcement. At around 6 p.m., on June 20, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Louisiana State Highway 397.
Reports provided by the Louisiana State Police show that 58-year-old Clyde J. Jeanisse was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 south on Louisiana State Highway 397 when his vehicle collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado after the vehicle’s driver, 20-year-old Calixto Calo-Taperia, lost control of his vehicle and struck the Ford head-on.
Jeanisse was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Calo-Taperia was treated for minor injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
