Covington, LA – One Injured in Collision With Tanker Truck in Claiborne Hill
Covington, LA (June 30, 2021) – A driver from St. Tammany is in hospital after a collision involving a tanker truck on Tuesday, June 29th in Covington.
St. Tammany Fire District No. 2, reported that the cat ended up under the fuel truck which was offloading at the Claiborne Hill Shell Station.
Officials said that had the driver crashed on the opposite side of the truck where the valves are located, the outcome would have been much worse.
The driver of the fuel truck was unharmed during the incident and was able to turn off the valve to stop the flow of fuel.
Covington Police Department is handling the crash investigation.
