Car Accidents in Denham Springs

Driving a car is an activity that seems to become more and more dangerous every day in spite of the leaps and bounds being made by automobile safety tech companies. Drivers are often focused on music, smartphones, conversations, navigation systems, and other diversions rather than the road in front of them.

The caring Louisiana car accident attorneys at Smiley Law Firm have decades of experience in helping their clients hold negligent drivers responsible. Our attorneys are prepared to guide you through the legal process and aim to provide effective and up-to-date legal guidance.

Most drivers assume that driving under the influence is the main cause of car crashes. While alcohol consumption plays a role in its fair share of accidents, the leading causes of these tragic incidents are drowsy drivers, distractions, emotional and/or medical impairment, and environmental conditions.

Some motorists are so preoccupied with other things that they can’t even be bothered to properly restrain themselves or their children. It is even more unsettling to learn that failing to use this required piece of safety equipment is the number one cause of fatal Lousisnaa car accidents. Properly fastening a seat belt would have spared the lives of about 67% of Lousiana’s fatal car accident victims.

Whenever a victim is hurt in a motor vehicle crash because of the negligence of another, it is important that they solicit solid legal advice from an experienced car crash attorney in Louisiana right away. Victims typically learn they have a wide variety of legal alternatives available to them as they look for financial recovery.

After most accidents, crash victims will encounter serious injuries. Common accident-related injuries include broken and fractured bones, damage to internal organs, traumatic brain injuries, and damage to the spinal cord. This list is far from complete and lots of other serious injuries could force victims to undergo long and expensive hospitalizations, medical treatments, and even long-term care.
