Ferriday, LA – Teenage Driver Dies, Another Injured After Wreck on Hwy 903
Ferriday, LA (August 20, 2021) – A teenage driver from Vidalia died on Tuesday, August 17th at about 2:00 a.m. during an accident on Highway 903 in Concordia Parish.
Louisiana State Police said the girl, whose exact age has not been released, was driving a 2006 Ford Taurus northbound on Highway 903 when, for reasons that have yet to be determined, she failed to successfully negotiate a sharp bend in the road. This caused her vehicle to leave the roadway and crash into several trees.
The driver sustained critical injuries. She was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where she passed away a short while later. A passenger in her vehicle sustained non-critical injuries and was also transported for evaluation and treatment.
This accident is under investigation by the Louisiana State Police.
