Harvey, LA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Dealership Parking Lot on West Bank Expy

Harvey, LA (August 11, 2021) – On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 10th, a woman was killed after she was struck by a car in a parking lot in Harvey. 

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office issued a statement saying that the fatal crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Bank Expressway, near three car dealerships. 

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the female victim died at the scene. Impairment is not considered a factor in this accident. 

The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time and no other details have been provided.

The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. 

This accident is under investigation.
