Lafayette, LA – Crash on Moss St near Lita Dr Ends in Injuries

Lafayette, LA (July 18, 2021) – Emergency crews in the Lafayette area were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday that ended in injuries. At around 2:36 p.m., on July 18, calls for assistance came in regarding a crash on Moss Street.

Reports from the Lafayette Parish Communication District show that a crash between vehicles blocked Moss Street in the area of Lita Drive during the afternoon hours. The incident prompted the police and firefighters to close the roadway for an extended time as they worked to clear the scene and allow thru-traffic.

At least one person was transported from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital for further care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
