Lafayette, LA – LPD Responds to Injury Accident and Vehicle Recovery on US-90 at Aillet Rd
Lafayette, LA (July 17, 2021) – An car accident involving an unspecified number of vehicles that also caused victim injuries took place in Lafayette on Friday, July 16th.
Sources from inside the Lafayette Police Department stated that the crash occurred at about 6:25 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of US-90 at the Aillet Road exit. Due to vehicle recovery operations, traffic was gridlocked for approximately two miles.
Local law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel were both dispatched to the scene. Paramedics evaluated everyone who was involved in the accident. At least one person sustained injuries that were serious enough to warrant transport to an area medical facility.
This accident is under investigation by local law enforcement officers.
