Lafayette Parish, LA – Juan Carlos Hernandez Killed in Crash on I-10
Lafayette Parish, LA (June 2, 2021) – One person has lost their life while several others were left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday evening. Just before 4:30 p.m., on June 1, the Louisiana State Police responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 10.
Reports from authorities show that 59-year-old Daniel Salinas was driving a 2016 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a utility trailer east on Interstate 10. For unknown reasons, the tire on his vehicle blew out, causing him to lose control and become involved in a collision. As a result of the collision, the Ford rolled over, ejecting a passenger.
The passenger, 29-year-old Juan Carlos Hernandez, was declared deceased at the scene due to his injuries. Two rear-seat passengers, the driver, and a front-seat passenger were all transported to area hospitals with moderate injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
