Many, LA – Clinton Jenkins Killed, One Airlifted After Rollover Crash on US-171
Many, LA (September 02, 2021) – One person died and another was injured during an accident on Wednesday, September 1st in Sabine Parish.
The crash took place on U.S. Highway 171 near Walmart just outside of Many.
The deceased has been identified as 36-year-year-old Clinton Jenkins, a resident of Converse.
An adult female passenger in the car was moderately injured. The victim was med flighted to Ochsner Louisiana State University Health in Shreveport for emergency medical treatment.
The accident occurred at about 8:00 a.m. as Jenkins was driving northbound in a 2021 Kia. For reasons still under investigation, his vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned.
Jenkins was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
State Police Troop E is investigating the crash.
