New Orleans, LA – Crash on I-10 near Causeway Blvd Causes Injuries & Delays
New Orleans, LA (June 11, 2021) – Emergency crews in the New Orleans area were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident on Tuesday morning. Just after 8 a.m., on June 8, calls came into authorities regarding a collision on Interstate 10.
Reports from the New Orleans Police Department show that a crash between vehicles blocked the right lane of the exit ramp from Interstate 10 West to Causeway Boulevard. The incident caused severe delays in traffic, which expanded back to Bonnabel Boulevard.
Firefighters and the police responded to the scene and went to work immediately on removing the vehicles and debris from the roadway. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
