New Orleans, LA – Crescent City Connection Bridge Site of Car Accident With Injuries
New Orleans, LA (August 26, 2021) – A car accident involving an unspecified number of vehicles caused injuries to at least one victim on Thursday, August 26th in Orleans Parish.
According to the highway patrol, the collision occurred at about 5:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes of US-90B on the Crescent City Connection Bridge in New Orleans.
The accident left a disabled vehicle in the roadway, resulting in the closure of the center lane.
Traffic was stopped back to Carrollton Avenue for eastbound traffic and Orleans Avenue for westbound traffic.
Officers and emergency medics all responded to the scene where they assisted in vehicle rescue, road clean-up, and pre-hospital emergency care.
