Pines Village, LA – Fatal Collision Between Dirt Bike and Porsche on Chef Menteur Hwy
Pines Village, LA (August 07, 2021) – A collision between two vehicles near Pines Village resulted in one death on Wednesday, August 4th.
At about 9:45 p.m., officers from the New Orleans Police Department stated that officers responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Stemway Drive and Chef Menteur Highway. An initial investigation determined that a Porshe Cayenne sports utility vehicle and a Kawasaki dirt bike were involved in the crash.
The accident occurred when the dirt bike collided with the SUV as it attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Stemway Drive.
Due to the force of the impact, the male operator of the dirt bike was thrown from the bike. He died at the scene. No information was released on the occupants of the SUV.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will publicly identify the victim after conducting an autopsy and notifying the victim’s next of kin.
This accident remains under investigation.
