Rapides Parish, LA – Steven Bruce Killed, One Critically Injured in Wreck on Deville Cutoff Rd
Rapides Parish, LA (June 22, 2021) – Steven Bruce, 29, a resident of Deville was killed during a one-car accident on Louisiana Highway 1207 in the area of Deville Cutoff Road.
Louisiana State Police responded to the scene at about 10:30 p.m. An initial investigation revealed that Bruce was traveling northbound in a 2002 Dodge Pickup when he lost control of his vehicle, exited the roadway, and then overcorrected causing his vehicle to overturn.
Both Bruce and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Bruce was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger was transported by paramedics to a hospital with very serious injuries.
