Sherwood, LA – One Dead in Road Accident on I-12
Sherwood, LA (July 29, 2021) – On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 28th, one person was killed during a car accident on Interstate 12 in Sherwood.
The crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of the exit leading to Sherwood Forest Boulevard from Interstate 12. As of 7:30 p.m., emergency crews were still trying to clear the scene and the righthand lanes were still closed off.
At this time, exactly how many vehicles were involved in the crash and if anyone else was killed or injured is not clear. Upon their arrival, officials pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been made available pending notification of next of kin. No additional details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
