Shreveport, LA (May 15, 2021) – Authorities in the Shreveport area were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that ended in injuries. At around 4:44 p.m., on May 14, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Interstate 220.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles blocked the left lanes of westbound Interstate 220 on the Cross Lake Bridge. The incident prompted sprawling traffic delays that spanned as far as two miles back.
EMS responded to the scene and treated victims before transporting those in need of further care to area hospitals. Police and firefighters remained at the scene for an extended time as they worked to clear the roadway. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
