Fatal Car Accidents in Slidell
It is not uncommon for accidents centering around who had the right-of-way to be the source of a rage-fueled altercation between the drivers. After all, they involve two people both insisting that they had the right-of-way and the other driver is to blame for the crash.Β Β
In accidents like these, accounts of what happened are often ambiguous because both drivers believe that their choice was the correct one. Luckily, Louisiana follows the comparative negligence doctrine. In other words, a driver who is injured during a crash might still be eligible to receive financial compensation even if they share some of the fault.Β
When an accident that stems from another personβs negligence causes someone harm, it is imperative that they reach out to a dependable Louisiana car accident attorney as soon as they are able. Most collision victims are entitled to financial compensation intended to help alleviate the financial obstacles they are sure to face.
Our Louisiana auto accident attorneys at Smiley Law Firm genuinely care about the health and welfare of our clients. When victims are hurt in accidents through no fault of their own, we work diligently to ensure they see justice, financial recovery, and their wrongdoers brought to account.Β
Louisiana allows fault to be established in several different ways, through things such as eyewitness accounts, discovery via opposing council, and the testimony of expert witnesses. Although the state affords you a very generous statute of limitations in which to file your claim, it is imperative that you speak with a personal injury attorney as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to prove your version of events and obtain full and fair financial compensation.Β
Our Louisiana personal injury attorneys invest fully in our clients and work tirelessly to ensure they receive the full amount of financial compensation to which they are entitled. If you were injured in a vehicle collision, do not hesitate to speak with our car accident attorneys in Louisiana by calling our offices at 504-688-3494 or 504-822-2222, and schedule a no-obligation case evaluation to learn about the legal options you have available.
