St. James Parish. LA – Marsden Geason Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Accident Near Sunshine Bridge
St. James Parish, LA (July 09, 2021) – At about 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, Louisiana State Police responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on Louisiana Highway 70 near Sunshine Bridge in St. James Parish.
The deceased was identified as 66-year-old Marsden Geason, a resident of St. James.
An investigation revealed that a 2014 Toyota Tacoma was driving westbound on LA 70 in the outside lane when Geason was struck.
According to the St. James Parish Coroner’s Office, he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
A toxicology sample was obtained from Geason and will be submitted for analysis.
The driver was unharmed and provided a breath sample that showed no alcohol present.
This crash remains under investigation.
