St. John The Baptist Parish, LA (April 3, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in St. John the Baptist Parish claimed one woman’s life on Friday evening. Just after 11:30 p.m., on April 2, emergency crews were requested to provide assistance on-site at a traffic-related incident on Highway 3127.
Reports provided by authorities show that 26-year-old Bridgett Kentrell Alexander was driving an unidentified vehicle on Highway 3127 when she was involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler just east of Highway 640.
Alexander sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained moderate injuries in the crash. The victim was transported to a hospital in New Orleans for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
