St. Martin Parish – Unidentified Male Fatally Struck by Car on I-10
St. Martin Parish, LA (June 30, 2021) – On Wednesday, June 30th, at about 1:00 a.m. Louisiana State Police were called to the scene of a fatal three-car accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10.
An unidentified Hispanic male was killed during the crash.
An investigation conducted by State Police says that a 1991 Mercedes-Benz was heading westbound on Interstate 10 when it was hit from behind by a Honda Pilot SUV.
The collision caused both vehicles to become disabled. As the driver of the Mercedes exited his vehicle a Jeep Liberty SUV collided with the vehicle, fatally injuring the driver. The St. Martin Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene.
The two other drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-critical and moderate injuries. Two of the passengers from the Jeep Liberty were transported in unknown condition to a local hospital for medical treatment.
