Terrytown, LA – Kiet Do Fatal Victim of Hit-and-Run Driver on Behrman Hwy

Terrytown, LA (September 06, 2021) – On September 5th, at about 8:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police opened an investigation into a fatal pedestrian accident on Behrman Highway in the area of Park Place, in Jefferson parish. 

The deceased has since been identified as 52-year-old Kiet Do, a resident of Gretna.

An investigation determined that the crash took place when Mr. Do was walking alongside the eastbound lanes of Behrman Highway when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, which then fled the scene. 

After being struck, Mr. Do was left injured and lying in the roadway. He was then run over by several other vehicles. 

Due to damage from Hurricane Ida, the area of the crash was very dark with no illumination from street lights.
