Baton Rouge, LA (May 10, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area late Saturday evening. Just after 11 p.m., on May 8, emergency crews were notified that a crash took place on Louisiana State Highway 327.
According to reports, 43-year-old Brandon Hedges was traveling near Louisiana State Highway 327 and Louisiana State Highway 42 when he was struck by a Chevrolet.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 30-year-old Geoffrey Goynes-Clark, then fled the scene of the accident without stopping to render aid.
Hedges sustained severe injuries in the accident. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Goynes-Clark was later arrested for his actions.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
