Krotz Springs, LA (May 10, 2021) – An explosion incident reported during a crawfish boil on Saturday afternoon sent several people to local hospitals with injuries. At around 4:30 p.m., on May 8, emergency crews were called to the site of an explosion on Todd Avenue in the Krotz Springs area.
According to reports, a group of people was at a crawfish boil during the early evening hours. For unknown reasons, an explosion occurred as a result of a leaking propane tank.
Four people involved in the incident were severely injured. All four victims were airlifted from the scene and transported to local hospitals for further care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
