Baton Rouge, LA – Doneshia Burton killed in Car Crash on I-12 West

Baton Rouge, LA (June 16, 2021) – Emergency crews in the Baton Rouge area were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident that claimed one person’s life and left three others injured.

At around 11:55 p.m., on June 11, the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 12. Reports from authorities show that a 2012 Dodge Charger was traveling on Interstate 12 West when it became involved in a collision. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Doneshia Burton, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver and two other passengers were treated for injuries. At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
