Orleans Parish, LA – Marley Mencer Fatally Struck While Working to Restore Power in New Orleans
Orleans Parish, LA (September 06, 2021) – As the state tries to recover from the aftereffect of Hurricane Ida, several emergency and work crews from Arkansas came down to help clean up and restore power.
One of the people sent to help was Marley Mencer, a lineman who traveled to New Orleans to help restore power.
Over the weekend, Mencer was run over while on duty. He passed away due to his injuries.
Mencer was a lead driver with Howard Transportation based out of Little Rock. He was with the company for 17 years.
