St. Tammany Parish, LA – Nine Hospitalized With Flash Burns, CO Poisoning From Generator

St. Tammany Parish, LA (August 31, 2021) – Nine people from St. Tammany Parish were hospitalized due to carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator after Hurricane Ida on Tuesday, August 31st. 

Their current medical statuses were not immediately available from the St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1. 

Fire crews also reported that one victim was flash burned while refueling a generator. 

Authorities have not released any additional details.
