Baton Rouge, LA – Injuries and Delays Reported in Car Crash on I-12 near Sherwood Forest Blvd

Baton Rouge, LA (March 23, 2021) – According to local officials, a motor vehicle accident in the Baton Rouge area ended in various injuries. At approximately 11:11 a.m., on March 23, emergency crews were called to the scene of a two-car crash on Interstate 12.

Reports from authorities show that a traffic collision took place on the eastbound side of Interstate 12 between Sherwood Forest Boulevard and Millerville Road. The incident blocked the roadway, causing major delays in traffic.

EMS tended to injured parties at the scene as firefighters and the police worked to secure and clear the roadway. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the cause of the collision is under investigation.
