Lakeview, LA – Attempted Traffic Stop on N. Claiborne Ave Leads to Accident With Injuries
Lakeview, LA (August 25, 2021) – A traffic stop in New Orleans’ Seventh Ward ended in a crash with injuries in the Lakeview community of Orleans Parish.
The accident took place at about 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 23rd.
Louisiana State Police tried to pull a vehicle over for a traffic violation at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Claiborne Avenue. Instead of stopping, the driver of the vehicle attempted to flee.
The chase was cut short when the suspect t-boned another vehicle at the intersection of Milne Boulevard and Harrison Avenue in Lakeview.
Three adults were taken by ambulance to the hospital with moderate injuries. A one-year-old was also transported with minor injuries.
Two people were arrested and both face narcotics and criminal traffic charges.
