Car Crashes in New Orleans

7.20 New Orleans, LA - Injury Collision on I-10 Near Downman Rd

Louisiana drivers need to be vigilant about the speed at which they drive as well as the speeds of the other vehicles around them. It is important to remember that Louisiana has many popular tourist destinations as well as events that draw crowds of people from not only other states but other countries too. Drivers from out-of-state are often unfamiliar with our state’s speed limits and are a lot less inclined to heed traffic laws than full-time residents.

Our Louisiana personal injury attorneys at Smiley Law Firm genuinely care about the health and welfare of our clients. When an accident that arises from another person’s negligence causes someone harm, it is imperative that they reach out to a dependable Louisiana car accident attorney as soon as they can do so.

Speed is a lead contributing factor in almost 30% of all fatal car accidents. If you are driving on any of our state’s highways, it is important to keep the speed limit in mind. While it can be very tempting to go over the legal speed limit, increasing your speed by just a few miles per hour raises your odds of a citation for speeding along with a life-altering or life-ending crash.

Speeding is not a problem only experienced on highways. About 34% of all deadly car crashes in which speed played a role took place on suburban and country roadways.

Our Louisiana personal injury attorneys fully support our clients and work hard to make sure they receive maximum compensation for their damages. If you were injured in a vehicle collision, don’t wait to get in touch with our car accident attorneys in Louisiana by calling our offices at 504-688-3494 or 504-822-2222, and schedule a free case evaluation to learn about the legal options you have available.
