Fatal Car Accidents in Louisiana
Auto accidents claim the lives of more than 655 people each year across the state of Louisiana. Although we like to believe that drivers sharing the road have our best interest in mind, this is far from true. Fatal accidents have a life-changing impact on surviving family members of those killed. Not only are relatives of the decedent forced to deal with the mental and emotional pain and suffering of losing a loved one, but they often face unbearable financial consequences related to funeral costs, burial expenses, and the loss of income. Although we can take proactive steps to ensure others sharing the roads with us are safe, there is no guarantee that other motorists will take our well-being into consideration. As a result, many people end up injured or lose their lives in accidents due to the negligence of others. When victims are fatally injured in accidents, due to the negligent or reckless actions of others, their family should reach out to a wrongful death attorney in Louisiana as soon as possible.
