Car Accidents in Louisiana
More than 40,000 accidents ending in injuries take place in the state of Louisiana each year. This averages to roughly 100 people being forced to deal with overwhelming mental, physical, and emotional consequences due to being harmed in collisions daily. These incidents continue to leave victims and their families to suffer every day across our state, regardless of how many laws and regulations are in place to protect motorists.
Victims often suffer severely broken bones, burn injuries, and traumatic brain injuries that severely impact their health and wellbeing. These and other serious injuries require both immediate care and long-term treatment, like therapy and rehabilitation. These accidents not only cause immediate disruptions in the lives of victims, but they often have long-term consequences as well. Although most drivers take proactive measures to protect others sharing the road, there is no guarantee that others will provide them with the same care and consideration. As a result, a significant number of accidents take place due to the negligent and reckless actions of others.
According to statistics, impaired drivers, distracted drivers, speeding, and reckless driving behaviors contribute to more than 80% of crashes each year across the state. When people are hurt in crashes due to the negligence of others, it is crucial that they reach out to a reputable car accident attorney in Louisiana as soon as possible.
