Duson, LA – Joshua Babineaux and John Guidry Killed in Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-10
Duson, LA (July 08, 2021) – Louisiana State Troopers were dispatched on Tuesday, July 6th to a crash near Duson at about 8:00 a.m.
Investigators have determined that the accident happened as an eastbound tractor-trailer experienced front tire failure causing the driver to lose control and crash into an eastbound F-250 pick-up truck, dragging the pick-up over the median into oncoming traffic. When the tractor-trailer entered the westbound lanes, it collided with a Ram pick-up truck transporting livestock and a Toyota RAV 4.
The driver of the RAV 4, 34-year-old Lafayette resident Joshua Babineaux, and a passenger in the Ram pick-up truck, 30-year-old John Guidry from Iowa, both died during the crash.
The other drivers and passengers involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
